Depleting my yarn stock.
I like knitting caps for my husband. He always likes everything that I do and never complains about tickling yarns etc.
Pattern: Square, my own
Yarn: Drops Eskimo, green (006)
Needles: 6 mm DPN
This took about 1,5 skeins of Eskimo. WHAT am I going to do with 25 meters of it??

Blueberry hat.
At first I tried to make me a cap of Silo. FIN-beanie turned out to fit my son's head instead of mine. After that I thought that Mustikka would be perfect for me and it is - not just in turquoise.
Pattern: Mustikka by Suvi Simola
Yarn: Kauhavan Kangas-Aitta Oy Silo, turquoise (8282-1)
Needles: 4 mm DPN
Size: S/M
I've still got some of this extremely soft yarn left. I will knit Mustikka again but maybe in brown?

There are only three cabled charts in the pattern but I decided to knit five. Otherwise the legs of the socks would have turned out too short. Reinforced heel and wedge toe (for a first time), that's it.
The rhyme card bag.
We've got at least 50 rhyme cards just laying around. At last I found time to sew a bag for them.
Pattern: my own
Fabric: By Graziela from Lasten Metsola
Others: ribbon and stopper from Stockmann
THANK YOU for everyone who took part in this rhyme card swap. We have enjoyed every card, they are excellent!

The last skein of beige Mambo.
My mother got a new cap.
Pattern: Basic knitted cap, Novita autumn 2008
Yarn: Novita Mambo beige (647)
Needles: 6 mm DPN
I've still got lots of Mambo left. Brown ones for Vihervaara and yellow ones for Sylvi. But now I'm finally out of beige.

Pants.
Our son grows really fast these days.
Pattern: Simo pants, size 98 cm, pattern no 27 in Ottobre 4/2008
Fabrics: velours and welts from Kestovaippakauppa and Myllymuksut
Others: Disney Cars patch from H&M Kids, Barbapapa and digger from Stockmann
The pattern is the same as before. Last year I needed to narrow the smaller size but now these fit.
