Multitasking Moms' Beanie

Ompeluryhmässamme oli kuluvalla viikolla salainen haastetehtävä. Jokainen ilmottautunut sai ohjeeksi tehdä jotain pientä Linnealle, jonka hienosta MIW-kaavasta on ollut iloa monille sadoille jollei tuhansillekin ompelijoille. Linnean putiikki kuitenkin lopettaa toimintansa tämän kuun lopussa ja me päätimme muistaa häntä jollakin pienellä jutulla.

This beanie is for Linnea, who has designed a great sewing pattern called MIW (Make It Work). She's shutting down her business and a bunch of grateful women who have really liked her pattern decided to make her something. I chose to knit, because I'm a way better knitted than sewer. This beanie seemed nice and turned out really fast to knit.

Pattern: Multitasking Moms' Beanie by Zsuzsa Kiss (Ravelry)
Yarn: Lane Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, dark green (2834)
Needles: 4.5 mm
Size: one size
Others: 1 big wooden button
1.7 skeins

Tämä ohje täytyy kyllä muistaa jatkossakin. Malli on joustava ja sopii varmasti monen kokoisille päille. Nimensäkin puolesta myssy sopii hyvin tämän(kin) talon emännälle.

Stripes

Kuva kelta-vihreäraidallisesta piposta ja lapasista on piirtynyt jostain verkkokalvoilleni jo monta kuukautta sitten. Päätin neuloa setin miehelleni ja tilasin vihreää lankaa Neulenettikahvila Pirjoliisasta. Loppujen lopuksi pipo päätyi kuitenkin ekaluokkalaiselle, joka saanee lopuista keristä vielä kaulahuivin joku päivä.

Pattern: basic hat
Yarns: Drops Big Merino, green (14) and Lane Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, yellow 2819()
Needles: 4.0 mm and 4.5 mm
Size: head circumference about 51 cm

Hyvin on pipo tuntunut kelpaavan eikä atoopikko ole valittanut ainaista kutiamista.

Cables by Veera

Pattern: Palmikkopipo by Veera Välimäki in Lankaleikki (Ravelry)
Yarn: Lane Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, orange (2835)
Needles: 3 ½ mm and 4.0 mm
Size: one size

This is my fourth knitted hat this autumn. I had a need for another simple, orange hat. Veera Välimäki is one of my favourite designers and I'm so glad she published her first knitting book earlier this year. This is my first finished knitwear from Lankaleikki.

Thanks to Drops and a huge alpaca sale I just ordered myself over 30 skeins of Alpaca. All for Veera's designs. Because I'm worth it.

Waffel Biscuit

Meiju tarvitsi koeneulojia ja minä uuden myssyn. Kivan näköinen pipo pääsi puikoille samantien eikä siis edes lankaostoksille tarvinnut lähteä (harmi).

Meiju needed test knitters and I needed a new hat. This looked nice so I started knitting it right away and didn't even have to go yarn shopping (bummer).

Pattern: Waffle Biscuit byt Meiju K-P (in Ravelry)
Yarn: Lane Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, brown (2825) and pink (2837)
Needles: 4.0 mm and 5.00 mm
Size: adult
1 skein (brown) and 0.6 skeins (pink)

Our oldest son wanted a new cap, too. He had already chosen an orange quilted coverall for this winter so the hat had to be the same color, as he said.

Yarn: Lane Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, orange (2835) and Schachenmayr Nomotta Extra Merino BIG, dark gray (197)
Needles: 4.0 mm and 5.00 mm
Size: M
0.8 skeins (orange) and 0,5 skeins (dark gray)

Kiva ohje ja ihanaa Karnaluksin lankaa, joten mikäs tässä neuloessa! Jälkikäteen mietin, että punaisesta ja valkoisesta saisi tällä ohjeella aika kivan kärpässienimyssyn.

Nice pattern and lovely yarn from Karnaluks, Tallinn!

Baby booties

I made these in November but forgot to blog them. Our baby wore these everyday but nowadays they are too tiny. I have to make him new footwear - maybe some knitted baby Converse shoes?

Pattern: epipa baby booties
Yarn: Lane Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, natural white (2805)
Needles: 3.5 mm
Size: NB
1 skein

This was the first time I knitted in German. A piece of cake.

Think pink.

I have started to prepare for another freezing winter in the land of Santa Claus. I usually wear brown coats so pink is the perfect color for my accessories.

Pattern: Virna (Ravelry) by Jatta Saukko
Yarn: Lana Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, pink (2838)
Needles: 4 mm DPN
1,5 skeins

Pattern: Cabled collar by Kalastajan vaimo
Yarn: Lana Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, pink (2838)
Needles: 6 mm 80 cm circular needle
6 skeins

Pattern: Cabled Mittens by me
Yarn: Lana Cervinia Le Fibre Nobili Mambo, pink (2838)
Needles: 4 mm DPN
almost 2 skeins

I really like this set. I have fallen in love with Virna and I'm knitting my fourth one at the moment. Still eight more to go - for Christmas presents. Cabled collar is also really nice. I have promised to knit two more for presents aswell. But I have to say that I'm most proud of my mittens. My mittens. I thought I couldn't knit that kind of thumbs! The pattern will be available later this month.

This Italian Mambo (bought from Karnaluks, Tallinn) has become one of my favorite yarns. Thank God my yarn-a-holic knitting club friends have already tricked me to order some more with them!

Don't tell my husband.
